Archie P. Williams a/k/a AP Williams was a plantation owner of 90,000 acres of property inherited from his father David P. Williams of Natchez, making him one of a few millionaires. Used his fathers political and business connections to become a Board Supervisor for the Adams Co MS government which is a governmental executive position. He held this role in addition to operating cotton and timber business in Natchez as well as civic work as a member of Executive Committee of the Republican Party
