SYMBOLS OF OUR NATION: The majestic Statue of Liberty’s torch, the beacon of freedom and liberty, is proudly held high by Lady Liberty.

The NFRW helps shape the future of our great nation with a strong Americanism program. We promote honor and respect for the American Flag and foster devotion to the exceptional United States. Our customs and institutions are respected by all.

Federated Republican women’s clubs help to carry out this mission in their local communities through educational and inspirational programs and projects, such as:

• Promoting the U.S. Declaration of Independence, Constitution, and Bill of Rights
• Encouraging public pledges of allegiance while saluting the Flag
• Teaching the rules of Flag etiquette
• Donating patriotic books to libraries and schools
• Sponsoring patriotic civics essay contests for schools
• Presenting Flags to schools and community groups
• Advancing the message that America is the greatest and most free nation in history

To aid clubs, the NFRW Americanism Committee assembles historic and patriotic materials, and provides resources, project ideas, and other helpful information.
