The hot, sandy, beautiful oasis located at Ikate Elegushi bus stop is a 2km drive from Lekki/Epe Expressway. Though it is not the cleanest of beaches in Lagos, it remains one of the most patronized beaches. Elegushi offers a mix of music, food, beautiful scenery of water. It is a must visit place for any tourist for its white sand beach ripping waves that lap the shoreline. It provides the ultimate relaxation for any.The sea in Lagos isn’t the clear blue sea you see in movies or in holiday itineraries of other parts of the world, but they sure do provide the ultimate ocean experience that anyone’s nerves will twitch to have.

Elegushi beach is a delight to fun-seekers, as it offers a variety of activities, especially during festive periods.However, with the Elegushi beach, one is bound to have fun no matter the size of the pocket. Entry to the beach is N1, 000 per person and N200 for the car park. So, making a decision on how much to spend at the beach is relative as it is basically hinged on how long one would be staying, preferences and intentions.

Lined from one end to the other with restaurants, and tuck shops amongst others with no restrictions, one is allowed to come with personal mat, food, drinks, games and whatever will help catch fun.However, most of the clubs and restaurants do not allow external drinks or food and one can only be allowed to sit in their space while patronising them. Besides the ocean breeze, various sounds of Nigerian musical genres become even louder from the various club and picnic areas. Horse riding is another favourite activity as trainers tag their horses along, offering you a ride or pictures for a small fee.With the moonlight reflecting off the ocean, the night life sets in. Regarded as the peak period for visiting this beach, families with children give way and what you will find around are largely adults and young people milling around.

No serious restrictions are placed around the party area at this time.
