You know there is a new James Bond movie coming when a new compilation of Bond music is released.
Best Of Bond... James Bond 50th Anniversary
That’s why we are getting Best of Bond…James Bond on October 9, leading up to the October 26 release of the film.
There’s no music from the new film on this set but it has a wide range of tracks, depending on the version you buy, from all the other Bond films. The single CD release and disc 1 of the two-disc set has the 23 theme songs from the 22 different Bond films (On Her Majesty’s Secret Service had a main and secondary theme, both included here).
Disc 2 in the two-CD set is selected incidental music from the films most of which are instrumental with a few vocal tracks from the likes of Shirley Bassey, Nina, The Pretenders, k.d. lang and Scott Walker. Also included is Moby’s version of the Bond theme which was “inspired” by Tomorrow Never Dies.
