John Singleton, director of Boyz In Da Hood, is in talks with Ice Cube about making a documentary on notorious hip-hop crew N.W.A.

Singleton spoke to Indiewire about the possibility of reuniting with Ice Cube, who got his acting break in his first film Boyz In Da Hood.
He said, “I can’t talk about it too prematurely about the stuff I’m doing because nothing’s come to fruition yet, but Cube and I are talking about doing the N.W.A. story.”
“The script is really, really good, and so we’re just figuring it out. New Line really wants to make it.”
Cube first mooted an N.W.A. biopic called Straight Outta Compton, naturally enough,in 2009.
The film has four writers and three producers already attached but no confirmation of cast, shooting times or release date.
