The Rolling Stones Sir Mick Jagger and Queen’s Roger Taylor are sharing birthdays today with Roger turning over to the benchmark 70 years of age.
Roger is the third youngest member of Queen. Brian May turned 72 last week, while former bass player (and composer of ‘You’re My Best Friend’, ‘I Want To Break Free’ and ‘Another One Bites The Dust’ John Deacon is the kid from the band at age 67. Freddie Mercury, born 5 September 1946, was the oldest member of Queen. He would have been 73 this year.
Mick Jagger is slightly older than Keith Richards. Keith will turn 76 in December. Charlie Watts is their elder at 78, original guitarist, the late Brian Jones would be 77, original and former bass player Bill Wyman is the oldest at 82 and guitarist since 1975 Ronnie Wood is 72. The other former member Mick Taylor turned 70 this year.
