The ARIA board have something special planned for next month’s ARIA Awards in Sydney, when eight time ARIA Award winners, Yothu Yindi, will be inducted into the ARIA Hall Of Fame, with some very special guests expected to join them on stage.

Yothu Yindi’s first hit single, Treaty, off their second album Tribal Voice, spent almost 6 months in the Australia ARIA charts, peaking at #11 and eventually earning them Single Of The Year and Song Of The Year at the ARIA Awards in 1992. The first song by a predominately-Aboriginal band to chart in Australia, it was also the first song in an Aboriginal language (Gumatj) to gain extensive airplay and international recognition.
