The 1st England Squash silver event took place in Doncaster last weekend and we had 10 juniors representing Northumbria.
BU13
William Brocklehurst finished an impressive 8th after winning his 2 matches before losing to the top seed in the QF. Huey Lamb placed 15th, exceeding his 17/25 seeding.
GU13
Emma Little won 1 of her 3 matches, including a 3-0 win in the final round, to finish 11th in the girls’ u13s.
BU15
James Southern went into the U15s unseeded but managed an excellent 12th-place finish.
GU15
A great performance from Rebecca Little saw her place in the top 6 of her event.
BU17
A great showing from both of our BU17 representatives, with Aidan Mahoney and Sam Tufton finishing 8th and 12th respectively.
GU17
Ava and Kate Naisbitt both participated in the girls’ U17 event, with Ava finishing 10th and Kate just 2 places behind in 12th.
GU19
Shae Paterson finished 3rd in her round robin, but won her placement match 3-0 to finish 5th overall.
Well done to everyone who took part; an excellent start to the junior season.
