The Nuclear Threat Initiative (NTI), is a non-profit whose mission is to transform global security by driving systemic solutions to nuclear and biological threats imperiling humanity.

Our highly competitive program offers internship opportunities 3x a year to undergraduate students with at least two years of study, graduate students, and/or those who demonstrate co-equal qualifying experience. The hourly pay rate for interns is determined by a tiered compensation structure based on level of education:

Each intern class exact start dates shift slightly from year to year to accommodate the academic calendar and NTI pay cycles.

The application link remains open for approximately two weeks, the exact close date will be listed on the application. The link to apply will appear on our “Work with Us” page.

Applicants will receive an auto-reply stating “your application has been successfully submitted” to acknowledge receipt of their application for the internship. Due to the volume of applications received, we cannot respond to direct calls or email inquiries about the status of an individual application during our review process. However, we will notify all applicants via email of our final decisions once the review process is complete.
