Victim, suspect named in Monday fatal shooting at North Little Rock apartments (original) (raw)
Police on Tuesday released the name of the victim and a suspect in a fatal shooting a day earlier in North Little Rock.
Around 10:28 a.m. Monday, North Little Rock police responded to 2600 John Ashley Drive, at the Jefferson Manor apartments, and found Aaron Gilliam, 44, of North Little Rock suffering from at least one gunshot wound, a Tuesday news release from the agency says. He was pronounced dead at the scene, the release says.
Investigators later identified Cecil Brooks Jr., 39, as a suspect in Gilliam's death, the release says. A warrant has been issued for Brooks' arrest on a capital murder charge, the release says.
