A table yesterday listing election results in New York and New Jersey misstated the vote received by Sal F. Albanese, the Democrat-Independent Vote candidate for City Council in the 31st District in Brooklyn. He won with 26,147 votes.

Following are the unofficial results of Tuesday's elections in the New York metropolitan region. Incumbent candidates are marked with an asterisk (*). Unopposed candidates are marked (U), and vote totals are not provided.
