As announced in June 2015, JavaDB is no longer included in recent versions of the JDK.

It was removed from JDK 7 and JDK 8 with the July 17, 2018 Critical Patch Update.

JavaDB was a rebranding of Apache Derby. Developers who like to continue using JavaDB should download the latest version from The Apache DB Project.
