Kelly Irvin | Pacific Bulb Society (original) (raw)
With a love for nature and living from earliest childhood to taking a special interest in gardening by age 13, Kelly Irvin procured an Associates Degree (non-accredited) in Theology in 1987, a Bachelor of Science Degree in Horticulture in 1990 (Texas A&M) and a Master of Science Degree in Horticulture in 1998 after working several years in the University of Arkansas Department of Horticulture as a Research Specialist.
Beginning in 1999, Kelly decided to dabble with the idea of growing Lycoris for the purpose of selling this special interest flower bulb in the trade. After trying his hand with online auction sites for a year, Kelly launched Bulbmeister.COM to create a base for online sales and online interaction for his customers and the general public. This project became a full-time endeavor with the onset of 2002.
Kelly's first online catalog had only 25 products, but it has grown in that short period to almost 225 products in the 2003 Spring Flower Bulb Price List and 20 additional products grown in the nursery or greenhouse, mainly Lycoris.
