Purpose

The Paramus Office of Emergency Management is charged under federal and state regulations with the development of emergency plans to protect live and property and effectively manage any emergency or disaster. This website contains information to help you develop your own disaster plan for your family or business. Knowing beforehand what to do, where to go and how to get there may save your life.

The mission of the Office of Emergency Management is to maintain a high level of preparedness, to protect the community; to mitigate loss of life and vital assets prior to, during, and immediate aftermath of a disaster; and to facilitate the speedy recovery of the Borough in the mid and long term intervals following a disaster.
