YouthTruth Survey Begins Monday - MPUSD is excited to announce the return of the YouthTruth survey beginning this Monday, September 30, 2024. This anonymous survey provides an opportunity for students, staff, and parents/guardians to share their experiences and feedback. The insights gathered will help MPUSD continue to improve school culture and student achievement. The survey link goes live on Monday. Monterey County Superintendent of Schools visits MPUSD Schools - Monterey County Superintendent of Schools Dr. Deneen Guss, Deputy Superintendent Dr. Ralph Porras, and members of the Monterey County Board of Education visited our schools to witness the incredible teaching and learning happening in our classrooms. MPUSD Superintendent Dr. PK Diffenbaugh guided them through Monte Vista TK-8, Monterey High, Marshall Elementary, Crumpton Elementary, and Marina High School. We’re proud to showcase the dedication and passion of our educators, staff, and students.

Fresh and Locally Grown Produce Boxes - Starting Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at Ord Terrace Elementary School in Seaside there will be produce box distributions available for ALL Monterey County residents. Anyone can purchase these boxes for 30,butifyoupaywithCalFreshorEBTyoucangettheboxfor30, but if you pay with CalFresh or EBT you can get the box for 30,butifyoupaywithCalFreshorEBTyoucangettheboxfor15 (50%) thanks to the Double Up Food Bucks Grant. The Double Up Food Bucks program in Monterey County doubles the value of CalFresh benefits, allowing families and individuals to bring home even more fresh fruits and vegetables. MPUSD Offers 19 Jobs at Career Fair - Last Saturday, September 21, 2024, 70 participants joined us at our Classified Job Fair and we made 19 offers that day. If you missed the job fair and want to learn more about non-teaching jobs at MPUSD, visit our website. These positions are ideal for parents who want to be part of the school system. National School Custodian Day - Wednesday, October 2, 2024, marks National School Custodian Day. We celebrate and honor the 67custodians at our preschools, elementary schools, middle schools, high schools, alternative education programs, adult school, and departments across the district. They not only care for our classrooms and facilities, but they build relationships with our students and help to ensure our campuses are clean and safe. Thank you for all you do MPUSD custodial team.

Chromebook Policies and New Payment Option - As part of our ongoing efforts to ensure responsible use of district-provided Chromebooks, we’d like to remind you of our Chromebook policies, initially shared during Online Registration. These devices are essential for your student's education, both at school and at home. Please remember that any damage, loss, or theft is the family's responsibility, with fees outlined in our cost schedule. We’re excited to introduce a new payment option for any potential damage via the Synergy ParentVUE portal. This tool allows you to easily track and make payments for any Chromebook-related costs.
