Grade 1 listed heritage
History meets modernity
In 1952, the Castle was recognised and rewarded by English Heritage when it was granted Grade I-listed status; as a building of exceptional interest and importance. As such, we are often faced with the task of preserving the castle’s original features whilst also continuing to be an accessible venue to everyone. Here are some the ways we’re continuing to be an inclusive business:
- Bedroom access – available upon request, we have a number of bedrooms which can be accessed via a lift. We also have two ground floor rooms, one of which is a family and disabled access room.
- Bag drop – w e ask for all vehicles to be parked in the on-site car park. We allow bag-drop outside reception to avoid guests carrying baggage from the car park, and we are able to offer valet parking if required. There are 2 unmarked disabled spaces by our chapel (please ensure you display a blue badge when parking here)
- Chair lifts – With the castle being a Grade 1 listed building, we are unable to build lifts to all areas of the castle. Therefore, where possible we have installed chair lifts throughout the building.

Wedding dates at Peckforton are often booked up well in advance but that doesn’t mean to say that weddings can’t be arranged at short notice.

Every now and again we offer significant, one-time-only savings on late dates. Peckforton Castle and our team of expert wedding coordinators are always on hand to help create your dream wedding and help put the last-minute plans together with you.

Our full fleet of vehicles, located within the stunning Peckforton grounds, gives you the opportunity to try out the latest models of Defender, Range Rover, Discovery, Range Rover Sport, Evoque and Velar ‘off road’ and in the heart of the beautiful Cheshire countryside.
