Product Overview
The phyCORE®-AM64x is a robust and reliable embedded solution designed for headless industrial communication systems. The 50 mm x 37 mm SOM has an extensive 280-pin interconnect supporting common factory communication protocols such as CAN, EtherCAT, UART, I2C but also automation specific interfaces such as EPWM, ECAP, and EQEP. Due to the heterogeneous architecture of the TI AM64x processor, you can run the majority of your application using Linux and off load critical components to the specialized low latency best-in-class real-time cores.

Functional Safety
As heavy duty machinery becomes more automated it is important to ensure the safety of factory workers who interact with the equipment. The completely isolated Cortex-M4 MCU can be used to monitor, test for, and manage faults.
Power Management
Accelerate your development and reduce design risk. Power management is handled directly on the SOM. Supply +5V and even utilize the +3.3V / 2A output rail on the SOM for your interfaces to save on cost and design complexity.
Industrial Communication
The phyCORE-AM64x SOM supports use of the Sitara AM64x 4x PRU-ICSSG Industrial Ethernet interfaces. These interfaces can be loaded with various industrial communication protocol stacks such as TSN, EtherCAT®, PROFINET®, ETHERNET/IP® and others.
Security
Work with PHYTEC to add Secure Boot to your application. Burn security keys to the processor and establish root-of-trust by signing software images to ensure only trusted code is run on your device.
