The movie follows the story of a young Pakistani girl named Shahida played by Harshaali Malhotra, who is separated from her mother in India. Her mother decided to visit a famous mosque in India to pray, in the hope to bring back the voice of her daughter. While coming back to Pakistan Shahida is separated from her mother as she leaves the train to play with an animal. Unknowingly, the train starts, leaving behind. Her mother is worried after knowing that Shahida is not on the train, but she is helpless as she is forced to go back to Pakistan. Shahida is all alone now in India. With the inability to speak, she finds it difficult to communicate with anyone. She is afraid and simply wanders from one place to another all hungry. In this difficult journey, Shahida met Pawan, played by Salman Khan, who is a devout Hindu and is there to celebrate the religious festival. The kind Pawan feeds the young girl and soon realizes that she is mute. Pawan went ahead and named her Munni. Pawan is confused regarding what he should do with her. After meeting the police, Pawan made up his mind that he will keep Munni with him until she finds her parents. Pawan is completely unaware of the idea that Munni can be from Pakistan, and ends up bringing her to her in-laws ' house. It was during an India-Pakistan cricket match that Pawan realized Munni is not only Muslim but also Pakistani. After knowing this, Pawan promises Munni that he will take her back to her house in Pakistan, all alone. Oawan though finds it difficult to lie in Pakistan as he is strictly against it, and ends up in several problems. The Pakistani local police began his hunt, thinking of him as an Indian spy. But unbothered by the consequences, Pawan became successful in delivering Munni to her home.

TOI

Bajrangi Bhaijaan emphasizes how, amidst visas and wars, there are also angels about who don't see doors. They see homes, lives and children and sometimes, children see angels too.

Koimoi .com

Bajrangi Bhaijaan includes elements of a typical Salman Khan film its larger than life, takes huge leaps of imagination and shows Bajrangi Salman Khan make impossible things happen with ease. But its got heart.
