Do You Know A Hero?
About Pride of Britain
The Daily Mirror's Pride of Britain Awards with TSB have been honouring the nation's unsung heroes since 1999, and this year we are celebrating our landmark 25th anniversary.
Hosted by Carol Vorderman and Ashley Banjo and screened in a primetime slot on ITV, Pride of Britain is the biggest show of its kind on British television.
Royalty, world leaders, and hundreds of famous faces including music legends, sporting icons, Hollywood stars and TV favourites have all taken part.
But the real stars are the winners, who come from all walks of life, are of all ages, and from all over the country.
They say they are ordinary people, but their acts are truly extraordinary.
Every year we receive tens of thousands of public nominations, and our team of researchers carefully compile a shortlist, before the judging panel, made up of celebrated figures in national life, chooses the winners.
They are honoured in front of a star-studded audience at the glittering Pride of Britain Awards dinner at Grosvenor House in London, in a truly inspirational highlight of the national calendar.
