Life’s challenges can allow one to believe that their situations are unique to them. Mental illness, addiction, stress, grief, and relationship struggles touch the lives of individuals on a daily basis. As women, we tend to believe that we can carry the weight of the world, but meanwhile, we're struggling on the inside. Are you not feeling like yourself and wondering what happened to the "old" you who used to enjoy life? Perhaps you're struggling with a relationship that isn't bringing you the joy it once did, or maybe it's the struggles of parenting. Are you questioning who you are or what's your purpose?

I've developed a deep understanding of the complexity of us humans and the vulnerability it takes to ask for help. The therapeutic relationship is the most important element of therapy. When a person feels safe, seen and heard, they can heal. I work from a relational approach and that means I recognize a part of me is also in the space and we are working together to meet your goals. This can look like setting boundaries, shifting patterns of self-destruction, avoidance driven by fear and self-doubt or finding balance in life transitions.

Hi there, I'm Marquisha. Do the stigmas or fictional criteria to participate in therapy often get in the way of seeking help? Need some self-care tips? Are you a student-athlete or workout enthusiast struggling with balancing mental and physical wellness? Well, I have a mantra that says therapy is for everyone. It can be the ultimate self-care approach since it can be hard trying to find time to think of ways to balance our daily duties, emotional well-being and our relationships in healthy ways.
