PEACE... What does that look like to you? Doyou ever feel this? When you wake up every day and find yourself unmotivated and unable to get out of bed, unable to breathe for fear of what the day brings your way, emotionally numb or so anxious that you can not even think straight. I want you to know that you do not have to do this journey you call life alone. No problem is too little or big to tackle. Let me help you carry some of your burdens and teach you ways to be the best you. The better you! I can be a safe place for you to find peace when you do not know where to turn next. It is finding peace despite the chaos around you!

NOTE: Accepting new clients! I am not sure if it is a trait of humanity or a product of culture, but folks often seem to develop: 1. a strong worry that discussing their struggles will be burdensome to others, and 2. a tendency to be far harder on themselves than they are towards others. Together, these can create feelings of isolation and self-loathing that, if we’re being realistic, are probably not helping you become the person you would like to be. Therapy can be a powerful tool to help address these patterns and give you the means to independently navigate your life in a way you find fulfilling.

As a therapist, I am most excited to see clients motivated to explore their unknown strengths, widen their horizons, increase their abilities to make informed decisions and lead a life of meaning as they define it. Everyone I have worked with brings to therapy a foundation upon which to grow. Regardless of the problem, an enhanced sense of self is possible. Instilling hope of something better in life is one of my greatest motivations, and assisting others in achieving their goals drew me to this profession.

Starting therapy can feel scary and a bit overwhelming. Talking with a stranger about your lived experiences is an incredibly brave thing to do. Whether you’re navigating a recent breakup or divorce, questioning your sexual identity, setting boundaries with family, improving self-love and compassion, healing from religious trauma, or managing mental health crises, therapy is a place for you. I’m an empathetic realist who believes you deserve a life that excites you.

Sometimes the journey of life can take us to places where we don’t want to be. That place can leave us feeling scared, isolated, anxious, hurt, traumatized, and disconnected from those we care about. It is a complete joy and honor to work with individuals and couples as they face these difficulties or are being proactive in ways to navigate the places where life may take them. I believe the client is the expert of their own life and I get to help them navigate the complexities of life and relationships.

Face it, nobody told us how stressful relationships could really be. Even venting to a close friend/family can sometimes become more of a danger than a source of help. Who said suffering in silence was an option? Doesn't Matthew 5 say, "blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God", but where is my peace? Growth takes longer to produce when we continue with the same attitudes, beliefs, and tactics. Ready to try something new?...
