Kingdom Hearts 4 Magically Returns in New PS5 Gameplay Trailer (original) (raw)

Embrace the light

Who had this on their Nintendo Direct bingo card, then? Kingdom Hearts 4 lives, but there’s still no release date attached.

Square Enix showed off some new gameplay footage of the highly anticipated title, showing protagonist Sora in the downtown Tokyo-style environment it’s been teasing ever since this project was first revealed several years ago.

It certainly looks like Kingdom Hearts gameplay, with that familiar blend of action and RPG. We also get a glimpse of some summons, but there’s really not much meat here.

If I was to be charitable, I’d say this looks early, and the lack of a release date means it’s probably still years away.

Interestingly, the demo shown during the Nintendo Direct displayed the HUD and button prompts on the screen, but that’s all been removed from this official upload on the series’ official YouTube channel.
