The hugely ambitious APT series brings significant art from across the Asia Pacific to Brisbane. Overflowing with colour and life, this free contemporary art exhibition presents a unique mix of creativity and cross-cultural insight.

Discover more than 400 artworks by over 80 individuals, collectives and groups that capture the energy of new art being created in Asia, the Pacific and Australia.

Alongside the exhibition are 3 thought-provoking film programs, 8 hands on activities for kids and 5 months of ongoing programs and special events, including daily guided tours.

Cinema APT9 Cinema celebrated film culture from across the Asia Pacific. ‘New Bollywood’ profiled a new and dynamic hybrid developing from a cross-pollination of India’s cinemas; ‘Contemporary Mellow Dramas’ showcased intimate dramas from East Asia; and ‘Microwave Films’ explored Marshallese life through the lens of a community-based production company.

Kids
APT9 Kids featured interactive artworks, hands-on and multimedia activities created by artists especially for children and families providing exciting and meaningful insights into contemporary art.

Kids On Tour APT9 Kids on Tour gave children and families throughout Queensland the opportunity to explore contemporary art from Australia, Asia and the Pacific through a range of activities at their local venue.

Learn Especially for life-long learners and education audiences, explore professional development offerings, workshops for students and bespoke access programs. Students and professionals of all ages are encouraged to delve deeper into resources both onsite and online.
