Admission Arrangements for admission in September 2025
HOW TO APPLY
For Reception Class applications please complete your own Local Authority’s online Common Application Form (e.g., Blackburn with Darwen, Lancashire County Council, Bolton Council, etc) by the national deadline date (15th January 2025). There is no need to complete a separate application form for QEGS directly.
The result of your application will be made known to you by your Local Authority on 16th April 2025 (National Offer Day). If this day falls upon a weekend or Public holiday, the result of your application will be made known to you on the next working day.
If you are unsuccessful in being offered a place for September 2025, your child’s name will be automatically placed on the Local Authority’s reserve list in accordance with the oversubscription criteria/random draw. The reserve list will be maintained by the Local Authority until 31st December 2025, at which point it will be passed back to the school to manage as their waiting list. The School’s waiting list is not held numerically, but in accordance with our oversubscription criteria.
If you wish your child’s name to remain on the waiting list for the rest of the school year, please e-mail the Admissions Department (admissions@qegsblackburn.com) during the first two weeks of term in January 2026, otherwise your child’s name will be removed from the waiting list.
