Co Curricular and Enrichment
Educational Visits
Once per term each year group will take part in an educational visit to a place of interest which complements the pupils’ studies. Every Christmas the pupils in the Primary School go to the theatre. In Year 6, following their examinations, the pupils undertake activities including raft building, orienteering, team building and archery.
Occasionally, guest speakers are invited into school, or special workshops take place for specific year groups or Key Stages.
Extra Curricular Activities
Extra-curricular activities take place at lunch time and some after school. At the beginning of each term the pupils select which club they wish to attend. These are entirely optional but very popular with our pupils. A wide choice is available – Art, Athletics, Choir, Cricket, Football, Computing and Swimming are some of our current activities. We have some thriving KS2 teams who play matches against local schools and other schools in the North West region.
Clubs
Throughout the year we offer a variety of exciting, challenging and fun extra-curricular clubs. These include: Cooking, Chinese, Gardening, Construction, Colouring, Film, Book, Irish Dancing, Sewing and Fitness Clubs.
