The Qt Long-Term Support (LTS) is the cornerstone of a robust development strategy.

Stability and Reliability over the Years

The Qt LTS releases are dedicated Qt Framework Minor releases, designed to provide long-term stability. Typically used for products in production, the Qt LTS releases enable maintaining system consistency with predictable development cycles and maintenance costs.

Qt LTS releases are available with the Commercial Qt licenses.

Easier Regulatory Compliance

With the tightening cybersecurity regulations, such as the EU Cyber Resilience Act (CRA), obligations on e.g. vulnerability management and lifecycle security updates are significantly easier to comply with the longer maintenance periods and ready-made building blocks offered by Qt LTS. They provide the Maintenance releases and security patches throughout the years, and allow preparing for the update to the next LTS in an organized manner.
