Research Resources - Quatuor Coronati (original) (raw)
The main resource of Quatuor Coronati Lodge is AQC, the Transactions of the Lodge, which dates back nearly 140 years. Our library, other documents and artefacts are stored in the Museum and Library at Freemasons’ Hall, Great Queen Street, London, or are on loan elsewhere.
A Searchable List of Articles and Papers published in AQC is available here:
AQC – Complete List of Papers & Authors, 1886-2024
Indexing any journal is an ongoing task, particularly one that has been published annually for as long as AQC. The late Svend Aaage Verdeso of Denmark produced a workable index of volumes 1-127 (1888-2014) in PDF form that can be searched using Acrobat Reader or simply used as a normal index. We hope to produce a compact revised index of all volumes of AQC in the course of the next few years, funding and volunteers permitting.
A composite Searchable Index for all AQCs can be accessed here: AQC – Complete List of Papers & Authors, 1886-2023
Individual Indexes for our more recent volumes are below: –
Links to the first seventy volumes of AQC are given below. These are now out of copyright. Certain volumes are stored on third-party websites. QC/QCCC does not accept responsibility for the integrity of any files that may be downloaded. Copies of papers from more recent editions of AQC which are in copyright can be obtained by members by emailing queries@quatuorcoronati.com. There is a small fee for this service (payable via a donation) which covers the cost of scanning.

Other Research Sources
A good entry point for masonic research is the Resources & Information page at the Museum of Freemasonry, London. A short summary of other Masonic Libraries and information sources is available here. Ron Selby of Temple of Athene Lodge has also produced a useful guide to UK Research Lodges.
The Research Directory of the Bristol Masonic Society is another invaluable resource, as are the Masonic Library of Singapore and the Centro Ricerche Storiche Sulla Libera Muratoria.
