Range Riders Museum (original) (raw)

Howdy Folks!

Welcome to the Range Riders Museum in Miles City, Montana!

Please enjoy our website — and come to see us “in person” whenever you can.
The Range Riders Museum is open from April 15 to October 15, depending a little bit on the weather in this part of the country. We are also open by appointment and on special occasions.

Founded in 1939

The Range Riders Museum is located in Miles City, Montana near the Tongue and Yellowstone Rivers.

Our large museum is packed with fascinating exhibits spanning from the age of the dinosaurs to the 21st century. Visitors can explore displays featuring the rich heritage of the region’s Native American tribes, the lives of pioneers who settled the Great Plains range country, and the stories of soldiers who shaped local history. The collection includes artifacts connected to General Custer—after whom the county is named—as well as General Miles, the namesake of our town. Together, these exhibits bring the history of the area vividly to life.
