Since Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 was shot down over eastern Ukraine in 2014, numerous false claims have been made by Russian officials and media about what happened. As the trial of four suspects begins in the Netherlands, we examine how Russian disinformation went into overdrive after the deaths of the plane's 298 passengers and crew.
