1. Meet the Moss Druid and complete her quest.
From the monument where you unlocked the Silkspear, head left across the platforms to find some webbing. Unleash your Silkspear with RB to destroy the webbing and pass through.

Follow the path downwards (mind the spike trap), collect the Frayed Rosary String from the body nearby, and then cut the rope to drop down to ground level. Make your way to the far right-hand side of the room, and you'll find another patch of webbing. Destroy it and jump over the hole beyond to enter the room to your right.

Rest at the Bench, and then walk a little further to meet the Moss Druid. Speak with her and accept her quest to gather 3 Mossberries - those small berries you've been collecting so far. If you've completed everything so far in our walkthrough you should already have 3, but if you don't, there's another very nearby.
Beneath the Moss Druid is a hidden passage with an extra Mossberry if you need it! | Image credit: Rock Paper Shotgun/Team Cherry
Exit and immediately drop down the hole. Then drop off the ledge again and walk straight at the right-hand wall for a little secret area. Inside is a flying enemy you can kill for another Mossberry if you need it.
Whether you do it now or later, you can speak with the Moss Druid once you've got 3 Mossberries, and receive the Druid's Eye as a reward - a (fairly mediocre) tool you can equip which gives you a small amount of Silk back upon receiving damage.
2. Free (and fight) the trapped creature.

Exit to the left of the hidden area with the Mossberry, and drop down to the bottom of Mosshome. Head to the right to find the large creature trapped in webbing once more. If you're low on Silk, remember you can hack at the webbing to replenish it! When you're ready, send a Silkspear at the webbing to free the creature.

Surprise! It's a boss battle. The Bell Beast is a fairly intimidating foe this early in the game, but listen to its roars and you'll figure out its tells for each attack pretty quickly. If it charges along the ground, jump and Pogo off it. If it roars before emerging, it will leap, so stay grounded and punish it afterwards. Things get more annoying in its second phase when it starts sending bouncing bells at you with each attack, but stay on the move and you'll cut the Bell Beast down without too many attempts.
With the Bell Beast defeated, collect the ball of silky light that appears, and you'll be temporarily transported to a strange dimension of silk. Climb the platforms to the top, attacking the elevator platforms repeatedly to make them ascend. When you return to Pharloom, you'll have gained a Silk Heart, allowing you to regenerate some Silk automatically when your Silk reaches zero.

3. Ride back to Bone Bottom and check the Wishwall.
The Bell Beast is now friendly, and can be used much like the Old Stag in the first Hollow Knight to fast travel between set locations. Ride the Bell Beast back to Bone Bottom, and interact with the newly built Wishwall for a couple of extra quests. You should have easily enough Shell Shards to immediately grant Flick's wish, so go ahead and do that.
Congrats! You've unlocked Silksong's Fast Travel mechanic. | Image credit: Rock Paper Shotgun/Team Cherry
The other quest involves killing 12 Pilgrim enemies and looting them for their shawls. You can do this at any time - just head up to Mosshome when you're in the vicinity and do a bit of Pilgrim-farming.

4. Rescue the first Flea.
When you're ready, ride the Bell Beast back to Mosshome. Head right, and hit the lever in the small room to unlock a Bench, and the way forward. Press on, and use the ledges in the next room to climb up and to the left, past the myriad enemies.

Head up into the next room, and follow the left path across the spikes. Follow the platforms all the way to the top, then across to the right, and down onto a ledge on the right-hand side of the area. On this ledge is a trapped Flea in some vines. Attack the vines to free the Flea.

5. Collect your first Craftmetal.
Drop back down to the bottom of the room, and leave the way you came. If you like, you can check the right-hand room before you drop down for some lore and strange noises, but there's nothing else to do in this room for now.
Once you're back down level with the Bench, head right past the lever and follow the path all the way to the right until you exit the long room and enter one with strange red plants that you can Pogo-bounce on.

Drop down to where the Pilgrim enemy is patrolling, kill it, and then attack the glowing orange wall to the left. Stand back and let it explode, then follow that path down to the bottom. Hit the other orange glowing rock, then quickly walk right back to near the spikes, because this one explodes the ceiling above you as well.

That done, head to the end of the wall again and attack it to loot your first Craftmetal - an important resource for unlocking and upgrading weapons later on!
6. Head upwards for a hidden chest.

This next optional step takes you to a hidden chest filled with Rosaries - well worth nabbing at this point. Exit back into the main area of the room, and Pogo off the red plants to reach the upper platforms. Climb all the way to the top (you'll have to do some repeated Pogo-ing to reach it, which may take a bit of practice), and exit upwards into the next room.

Climb up into the small room with the hanging Rosary Beads, and attack the wooden wall on the left for a hidden passage. What follows is a brief bit of intense Pogo-ing above spikes, but once you reach the end of the path you can loot the chest below for lots of goodies. Then head back the way you came and drop down into the previous room.

7. Enter the prison and free Grindle.
Drop down slightly to the left, and attack the orange rock embedded halfway up the wall. Let it explode, then climb up and drop down to it again for a cache of Shell Shards. That done, drop to the bottom and head right.

In the next room, jump and attack the odd-looking lever above you to drop a stepladder down through this vertical passage. Jump to the exit immediately opposite you, and you can attack the bell inside for some Rosaries. Then return, and drop down the hole in the bottom. Ignore the two passages to the left and right for now - the left-hand one brings you back to where you were before, while the right-hand one introduces a tricky boss battle guarding a new region which you're best off leaving for now.

Enter the large door on your right in the lower area, and you'll find yourself in a prison of sorts. Rest at the Bench, then use the ledges above you to climb up to the cells. On the left is a cell you can break open to fight an enemy, and on the right is a new NPC called Grindle.
Image credit: Rock Paper Shotgun/Team Cherry
Grindle says he's been jailed for pickpocketing, and wants you to release him. Go ahead and attack the door to let him loose. You can speak with him again, and Hornet will warn him not to try anything. Then jump up to the ledge above, and you can loot a new weapon-tool: the Straight Pin. Equip it while resting at the Bench. This handy tool allows you to fire off a maximum of 12 throwing daggers for quick, safe damage.
8. Unlock the shortcut back to Bone Bottom.
Image credit: Rock Paper Shotgun/Team Cherry
Exit the prison and descend down past the spikes and into the next room. Stay on the left side of this room and descend to the very bottom, where you'll find an exit marked by foreboding long teeth in the ceiling and floor.

In the next room, stand on the pressure plate to unlock a shortcut - a moving platform that takes you across the lava and back in the direction of Bone Bottom. If you want to head back there now, feel free. The moving platform is activated by pressing down on whichever of the two buttons is in the direction you want to move.
This shortcut doesn't take you right back to Bone Bottom, but it's close enough. | Image credit: Rock Paper Shotgun/Team Cherry
9. Head back across the lava into Deep Docks.
The last step of this part of the walkthrough is to make your way back to the right. Head out of the toothy entrance the way you came, and use the metal platforms above the lava to keep moving right. Watch out for the bell-helmet enemies, for they attack swiftly and have a decent range. The flying variants will fire balls of lava at you, but you can attack them at the right moment to fire the balls back at them.

Keep moving all the way to the right and you'll find an exit off-screen. This path takes you directly into a brand new region of the game: the Deep Docks.
That's it for this section of our walkthrough. To ensure you don't get lost in the darkness of the next region, be sure to follow on with Part 4 of our Silksong walkthrough, taking you through the intimidating Deep Docks.
