Catherine Bray Guardian We’re in the “try anything once” phase of Russell Crowe’s career, and he’s wearing it well. Rated: 3/5 May 1, 2024 Full Review Simon Abrams RogerEbert.com The makers of “Land of Bad” mostly reduce their movie’s antagonists to generic obstacles for Kinney, except for a few key scenes that strain to establish why they’re actually the worst. Rated: 2/4 Feb 16, 2024 Full Review Glenn Kenny New York Times Moments presumably conceived to create suspense... merely contribute to its longueurs. Feb 15, 2024 Full Review Clotilde Chinnici Loud and Clear Reviews It is kind of ironic how I have just seen Land of Bad and yet I could genuinely not tell you what it was about. And this is the biggest flaw of the film: it is missing its heart, the very reason why it should have been made in the first place. Rated: 2.5/5 Sep 14, 2024 Full Review Kevin Wight The Wee Review Gung ho goodness tempered with the hint of a self-satiric edge, it’s a bit of a rough diamond. Rated: 3 Sep 4, 2024 Full Review Dan Buffa Ramble On With Buffa (Substack) This is a solid, all-around B-side action adventure. Liam Hemsworth doesn’t exactly anchor it all, but he does a fine job of giving Kinney the right mix of nerves and ability. I wanted more time with Crowe's eccentric triggerman. Meccassault Way better than I expected. I love these types of films but Liam hasn't always been a strong lead like Chris has proven to be. However, i think he really stepped up this time. Russell is a solid supporting lead and often steals the spotlight despite not actually being part of the action. Definitely worth seeing. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/10/25 Full Review Marty H Plenty of excitement and adult language based on a true story, with a loose interpretation of facts. The director caused a good flow of action and suspense. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 12/25/24 Full Review Jerod G Really interesting take on current military applications and overall a good movie! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 11/27/24 Full Review Savvy Mrs Sutliff This man still got it Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/26/24 Full Review Burnell Very action pack and triller, keeps you on the edge of your feet.
