Mateusz C Beatiful and moving, great acting Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/07/25 Full Review Hunter L I've watched The Fallout two times and my opinion of it hasn't changed. It's a raw and realistic piece. The scenes don't feel forced and they are relatable too. The film is well cast and the director has done an excellent job. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/19/25 Full Review Cheyanna P This was an okay movie. I thought Jenna had an outstanding performance and the topic was very real and made you empathize and realize this stuff really does happen, but I thought the chemistry between Jenna and Maddie was really awkward and I think they could’ve found a better match their especially since the movie is based on their friendship/relationship after this horrible tragedy. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/19/25 Full Review cinema f “I feel mad, because I had no idea one guy with a gun could fuck up my life so hard in six minutes.” A really beautiful film about a tragedy that happens often in the school systems, that isn’t spoke on, that isn’t getting the notice it needs. Jenna and Maddie are brilliant. 5/5 stars. This movie like Thirteen there needs to be more like it, school shootings are real unfortunately they do happen and we need to have more honest scripts like The Fallout and Thirteen to cover the topics I feel are pretty much pushed under the rug. Synopsis Bolstered by new friendships forged under sudden and tragic circumstances, high schooler Vada (Jenna Ortega) begins to reinvent herself, while re-evaluating her relationships with her family, friends and her view of the world. Moving away from her comfortable family routine, she starts taking chances with a series of quicksilver decisions that test her own boundaries and push her in new directions. As she spends more time with Mia (Maddie Ziegler), they grow closer, and Vada slowly redefines herself through their shared experiences, leading her further away from that day and closer to living her life in the now.
