Michael Sragow Film Comment Magazine The Lego Batman Movie mostly proves that this franchise has already descended into a disappointing formula. These movies flash a subversive hook, then straighten it out as they streak along. Mar 8, 2018 Full Review Stephen Romei The Australian The result is an ideal movie for the school holidays, one that children of all ages will rock along with (Batman fancies his own singing) and adults will laugh at. Rated: 3.5/5 Apr 7, 2017 Full Review Sandra Hall Sydney Morning Herald Emotion can reside in the unlikeliest packages. But there's not a lot of it on show here. The animation, however, is terrific and fans of the original should love it. Rated: 3/5 Apr 5, 2017 Full Review Cory Woodroof For the Win (USA Today) A very fun skewering of the tropes that hold up the cowl, The Lego Batman Movie is one of the great satires on superhero storytelling while also showing the kind of love that makes a satire like this possible. Feb 28, 2024 Full Review Keith Garlington Keith & the Movies The onslaught of gags can be relentless, sometimes to the point of making them impossible to follow. It’s a shame because the movie has some big laughs (and I do mean BIG). Rated: 3/5 Aug 23, 2022 Full Review Brian Eggert Deep Focus Review The sequel is the very definition of too much of a good thing. Rated: 2/4 Apr 5, 2022 Full Review Read all reviews

Rodney The movie was very intense. It was an all or nothing adventure with “no going back” and “no plan B”. Batman’s lonely and reclusive life really hit home in this one. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 10/16/24 Full Review Craig W Crazy fun from beginning to end & full of enough nods to old Batman fans to keep them interested Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/30/25 Full Review Alexander S The LEGO Batman Movie proved to be a delightful spin-off that didn’t feel forced or overdone as it continues to expand the LEGO movie universe as it focuses on the same lovable Batman from the first movie, delivering his signature jokes and humorous banter in his own LEGO Batworld as this movie is sure to entertain audiences of all ages and fans of the first film. Grading: B+ Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/17/25 Full Review Oaklee D My favourite film in the Lego movie film franchise. The kids will enjoy it. Synopsis There are big changes brewing in Gotham, but if Batman (Will Arnett) wants to save the city from the Joker's (Zach Galifianakis) hostile takeover, he may have to drop the lone vigilante thing, try to work with others and maybe, just maybe, learn to lighten up. Maybe his superhero sidekick Robin (Michael Cera) and loyal butler Alfred (Ralph Fiennes) can show him a thing or two.
