Critics Consensus
Some of the scenarios border on illogical, but the diverse characters and the creative intersections between their stories keep the Wachowskis' Sense8 compelling.

Marco L @decatur555 Mar 16 Sense8 is one of those series you either tune into completely or you risk being left outside. It is strange, ambitious, emotional, and often chaotic, but that chaos is part of the point: the storytelling mirrors the fractured, shared experience of its characters. More than a conventional sci-fi series, it feels like an immersion into emotion, identity, desire, fear, and connection across different cultures and bodies. Visually it is stunning, with bold editing and a style that almost never resembles normal television. It can be slow, self-indulgent, and occasionally uneven, but when it works, it is hypnotic. And yes, some of the backlash clearly came from viewers uncomfortable with its queer openness. Their loss. See more babarizam D @RT59932316 Feb 19 This season starter is very boring and needless. There was no need to spend so many episodes on the back stories of the characters. All could have been covered in first episode. See more Ingo R. R. H @Ushur Jan 9 There is a lot of drama and not much action. If you want to hear about pride, trans, gay, gayporn etc. and conflicts between LGBTQXYZ+&#€ and parents and so on, this series might be for you. Otherwise it's lame because nothing happens at all. The characters are stereotyps without charm unrecognizable and I don't care about them. It's one of the most boring series I ever saw See more Joe D @Redfan80 Dec 30 Can’t believe the low ratings, yes 75% is very low. Best written show in the last decade +. Freaking ridiculous, this is a great show all around. By its self worth the price of net flicks! See more John P @Domdeloease Aug 24 Just a fantastic series cut short and rushed at the end but overall has the originality that good sci fi deserves See more Joe D @RT53872997 Jun 1 Don't waste your time. I FF through the first half with nothing worthwhile. Junk squared See more Read all reviews
