Leila Latif Guardian Sly himself is reality TV gold. They all seem perfectly lovely, but they are so keen to portray themselves as the perfect loving family that it begins to get deeply weird – as anyone with access to the internet can easily find out for themselves. Rated: 3/5 May 24, 2023 Full Review Anita Singh Daily Telegraph (UK) What stops this from being a soullessly cynical enterprise is the sheer likeability of Stallone himself, and the fact that the family plainly adore one another. Rated: 3/5 May 19, 2023 Full Review Hamish Macbain London Evening Standard This is trash television, obviously. But it is also well aware of this, and because its patriarch remains one of the most likeable people to ever swagger in front of a camera, it is eminently watchable. Rated: 4/5 May 15, 2023 Full Review Dustin Rowles Pajiba The series is painfully mundane, a heavily curated 22-minute Facebook photo come to life. Jun 10, 2023 Full Review Melissa Camacho Common Sense Media But The Family Stallone is produced and heavily-edited to create a young, energetic, and positive vibe, despite the family patriarch being in his late 70s. May 30, 2023 Full Review Guillermo Courau La Nación (Argentina) As amiable as it is inconsequential, The Family Stallone has the idol at its core but moves, at a snail's pace and without a clear destination, thanks to his three daughters, who visibly dream of becoming the new Kardashians. Tiago G No esperaba mucho pero me entretuvo como double screen. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/08/24 Full Review Allyn W Didn't know what to expect, I actually really like it. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/21/24 Full Review D R I grew up watching Sylvester Stallone; I have the deepest admiration and fondness for him, and what he's accomplished. He's PHENOMENAL! He IS the best of a Hollywood that's become narcissistically boorish. Stallone is one of the only stars I'd pay money to watch anymore. My son who's now a fighter-pilot, remembers me taking him to watch "Cliffhanger." He was 9. That's right, 9-years old! He kinda ribs me about that. But such was my heart's loyalty to Stallone. (That's a great movie.) This series is a bit heart-breaking for me. Stallone, himself, seems to be trying too hard to show us an amazing, cohesive family. I believe he's a great father, I hope he's a great husband. But this feels immensely forced; not necessarily by Sly - but by the ‘posing' of everyone else. His wife? Artificial and cold. I'm not seeing a love connection that's warm or compelling. She's distant and uninterested. I'm not convinced of the overheard comment "He adores you." Really? Sly seems off-kilter a bit. If I were an old friend actually in the room with them, I'd be asking Sly in private, what the heck is the matter? Unconvincing. Artificial. An orchestrated concoction that feels ‘uncomfortable.' Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/16/24 Full Review Daniel M I really didn't care for the scenes with his daughters and wife, I just wanted Stallone on screen the entire time lol I couldn't watch it all, I just picked and choose a few episodes. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 09/19/23 Full Review genegirl Seriously boring reality show. Arguing privileged daughters. Nothing interesting happening. Occasional cameo from other film stars. Not enough to keep my interest. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 09/16/23 Full Review Linda Z I have watched Reality shows when people tell me, "You have to watch ___. It's not like others." I hated all of them. But Sly and Family is simply AMAZING! I watched all the episodes in 2 days and I work 12 hours a day. I loved every minute of it and want MORE!!!!!
