Game Changers doesn't quite flip the puck, but it has enough heart and good humor to make The Mighty Ducks proud.
Zaki Hasan San Francisco Chronicle The best thing "Game Changers" offers is how it unabashedly embraces the world it exists within, representing a seamless continuation of the movies even as it carries the ball - sorry, puck - forward for a new generation. Rated: 3/4 Apr 13, 2021 Full Review Wenlei Ma News.com.au While it's not as game-changing as the title suggests, these new characters are charismatic and fun, the story is familiar and comforting and it has enough heart to skate on. Apr 11, 2021 Full Review Alison Herman The Ringer Graham is a delight for kids and parents alike, striking a successful balance between nostalgia and novelty... Apr 3, 2021 Full Review Eddie Harrison film-authority.com …Gamechangers doesn’t disgrace the legacy of the Mighty Ducks; it’s a straightforward motivational drama… Rated: 3/5 Dec 11, 2022 Full Review Audrey Fox We Live Entertainment Any attempt to reboot The Mighty Ducks shouldn't be undertaken lightly. The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers, unfortunately, tackles the franchise with all the grace and nuance of the Bash Brothers. Aug 23, 2021 Full Review Paul McGuire Grimes KSTP-TV (St. Paul, MN) The series should be inspiration for all of the misfits and disadvantaged kids out there to find their unique talents and make the most of them. Jay W This show Mighty Sucks. After the unexpected success of "Cobra Kai" Disney executives thought long and hard for their own way to make money off of a similar idea. Then they remembered they had their a nostalgic sports movie that they could spin-off into a series with "Mighty Ducks". Like all of us, they tried to forget the fact that they already made a T. V. series of Mighty Ducks. It makes sense that since Karate Kid was a much better movie than Mighty Ducks that likewise the T. V. versions of the franchises would continue the tradition. The drama in the series feels artificial, the humor feels forced, the character motivations don't add up and the whole thing could have been at least 4 episodes shorter. Much like the series team name, I will have to say "Don't Bother" to watch this series. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 12/02/24 Full Review Braxton M I really enjoyed the first season. I have never actually seen the original film but this seemed like it was good reboot. The acting was decent, story was great, and I'm glad they made this into a tv series instead of a movie. Would definitely recommend! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/27/24 Full Review Courtney K I loved this series. Maybe because we are a youth hockey family and it was so accurate especially at it poking fun at the whole industry. It's a very cute series and I'm so sad they cancelled it. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/20/23 Full Review WickedTuna29 G beauty and sometimes unpredictable so very solid overall W Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 05/17/23 Full Review jeffrey r This H & W, writing team, continue to bring their poor moral and parental values and philosophy into this series. Instead of healthy and constructive as well as responsible young adults, they portray morally bankrupt young adults of privilege, elitist Los Angeles and in particular Santa Monica, kids who attend private schools and have no idea of the way 99% of the population really live. Perhaps this is because in their own personal lives they display these values with their own Children. When Goldsmith's Mother was dying, the entire family abandoned her and left her alone to die, while she cried for their presence, for the last 18 months of her life she was alone without the comfort of these brats to visit her. Would you want to watch anything these Horrors write? OMG, what terrible writing by GOLDSMITH & YUPSA. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review derek l Mighty Ducks: Game Changers certainly gave an opportunity for its characters to shine and develop throughout each episode in addition to its decent performance from their young cast.
