Support Us

Shackleton’s Memorial Cross

We’re honoured to soon welcome the Hope Cross – from the memorial cairn to Sir Ernest Shackleton in South Georgia – to Discovery Point, in order that it may be cared for and displayed for enthusiasts from all over the world to pay their respects.

We aim to raise £10,000 to build a fitting display to honour one of the world’s most revered Polar explorers. Just as his Quest crew members did when they constructed the cairn and Cross in 1922, each donation allows you to pay your respects to Sir Ernest Shackleton.
