映画『田園に死す』（1974年公開）は寺山修司の自伝的映画とよばれ、「世界のテラヤマ」の名を決定付けた作品。「母殺し」、「家出」、「蛍火」、「恐山」など寺山ワールドの集大成が、ここにあり、終生こだわり続けた《記憶とは何か？》《私とは何か？》というテーマとも深く関わっている。

寺山作品を世界各地で上演し国際的評価を得ている流山児★事務所が、映画作品である『田園に死す』を舞台化し、2009年の初演時は連日超満員札止め、第44回紀伊國屋演劇賞団体賞受賞という高い評価を得て、2012年、2014年に再演。今回、「再演希望」の声に応え、10年ぶりの上演！！

"To die in the country" is the 1974 drama film directed by Shuji Terayama, who is known as a poet, writer, stage and film directer, and so on.

This film is his autobiographical work and made him become a world famous director.

Thoroughout his life, he continued to think about "what is memory?" and " what is me?", and this drama is deeply related to the themes.

Ryuzanji Company adapted the drama film for the stage in 2009, and it won the 44th Kinokuniya Theatre Awards.
It was revived twice in 2012 and 2014, and every stage was sold out.

In this March, for the first time in this ten years, the show is coming back in Shimokitazawa!
