The Mabote River Camp near Mokopane offers a adrenaline pumping 4x4 trail in four parts that winds though the beautiful rocky sandstone formations in the Waterberg. Here is where the fish eagles call and black eagles nest. There are escape routes over some of the challenging sections, making this a versatile option for all skill levels. Cool down after the drive in the rock pools at the shimmering waterfalls or enjoy game drives on a nearby farm.

At Grootwater in Lephalale, you will drive on craggy roads, up steep hills and enjoy wide magnificent vistas over the Waterberg. The difficulty of this South African 4x4 trail is graded as 3 and it should take you approximately 3 hours to complete. Enjoy camping or sleeping in self-catering chalets and chat about your days 4x4 adventures with friends and family around the campfire.

Mabothe is located in the Waterberg area between Marken and Naboomspruit and offers countless activities and sight seeing opportunities in the immediate proximity. Shelanti offers an adventure route rather than a classic 4x4 trail. The difficulty of this 4x4 trail is graded as 2 with a minimum time of 4 hours to complete. The route is self-drive but guided on well tended dirt tracks and promises good game viewing opportunities.

There is an abundance of game, with four of the Big Five all of which are roaming free on the 11000 hectare property. There is also a small pride of lions in a large camp. Although fairly undemanding and suited to soft-roaders, certain basic 4x4 skills are needed.

The Schamach 4x4 trail is located in Modimolle and has a difficulty grading of between 2 to 5 taking you approximately 4 hours to complete. A guide is available on request. It boasts a tricky 15km trail winding up and down, over and through steep drifts, magnificent riverbanks, solid rock slabs and the picturesque Waterberg hills.

All 4x4 trails in Limpopo offer magnificent views of magical mountains and lush valleys. Enjoy the splendour of this region and the abundance of wildlife.
