About PW Vorster Museum

The PW Vorster Museum documents the important role the van der Walt and Vorster families played in the history of Grootfontein.

The museum is housed in a beautiful old building which was originally built in 1827, and then extensively renovated in 1887, at which time an impressive gable was added to the buildings exterior.

Step inside this museum and you will find a collection of old photographs accompanied by descriptions of and info about the founding families.

Memorabila dating back to the military era enlighten visitors about the time when the peace keeping forces were stationed in the area.
