St Francis Bay is popular for so many reasons. It is a holiday town that is less than an hour�s drive from the metropolis of Port Elizabeth. It exudes a laid-back atmosphere, with friendly locals and beautiful homes that are sure to inspire a little envy.

St Francis Bay beach is frequented by locals and tourists alike. There are fabulous facilities for water sports, making the beach ideal for snorkelling, surfing, fishing, and so on. In addition, the beach is close to a very special historical lighthouse and a sanctuary for injured penguins. It is also surrounded by nature reserves, creating a very pretty vista for beach-goers.

The waves of St Francis Bay Beach are renowned amongst avid surfers. In fact, some come to this area solely for the surfing. Watch out for schools of playful dolphins all year round, as well as whales between July and December.
