About Horseback Africa Mountain Biking

Enjoy your experience at Horseback Africa from the saddle of a mountain bike. There is an established 5 km route that is used for the (not) parkrun and for the Parktrot. The forest trail portion of his particular route is quite challenging for a mountain bike, as there are poplar tree stumps to negotiate, and there is a steep slope to ramp down, or to try and �climb� up with a bike!

New routes are also being pioneered in the mountains with large slabs of rocks to cycle across. There are also curving paths through the mountains with spectacular views. Should the cyclist wish to enjoy a less intense ride, then the roads can be followed on the reserve.

Horseback Africa can also be used as the starting and ending point of a longer ride where the cyclist can enjoy the rest of the De Tweede Spruit valley along the sand road. This round route is about 26 km long.

After the exertion of a bike ride, the participants can enjoy our little restaurant with it�s scrumptious and very reasonably priced Pizzas-On-The-Wild-Side (with venison meats) and other delicious meals and drinks. They can then jump into the pool to end the wonderful experience before enjoying an evening meal around the camp fire.

The bikers can then enjoy the comforts of the lodge with the lions roaring at night.
