About Stokers Arms

Stokers Arms is situated in Kloof, which is part of the greater Durban area in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. This suburb is verdant and pretty, the perfect place in which to enjoy hearty meals and refreshing drinks at the popular pub and restaurant, which is also the local of choice for many.

Stokers Arms is situated in the old Kloof Railway Station and is, as a result, steeped in history and oozing a special heritage. This railway station dates back to the second half of the 19th century. Thanks to its central location, it was soon used for all manner of things from a post office and telephone exchange to the site of church services. Over the years, it has been rebuilt and revamped; now standing as a tribute to the South Africa of yesteryear.

The restaurant can seat 60 patrons comfortably, and includes an indoor area and a large outdoor dining space that is shaded. There is also a coach that has been used for a number of private events and celebrations, and promises a memorable, one-of-a-kind venue. The menu includes hearty fare for hungry travellers as well as lighter options. Cheesy snails, garlic focaccia, baby calamari heads with spicy chorizo sausage, peri-peri steak fingers, popular thin-crust pizzas, pies, chicken salad, and flavoursome potato skins are all part of the Stokers experience. The kitchen is open between 12h00 and 22h00 every day.

The pub has both a distinctive and a traditional English style. There are no fewer than nine beers on tap, as well as a host of other ales, wines, spirits, and liqueurs.

There is an area in which young ones can play while their parents watch them from the comfort of the restaurant. It is no wonder then that Stokers Arms is the chosen eatery of families, couples and tourists from all over the world.
