About Sutherland Musuems and Memorials

A memorial to the Voortrekkers, in celebration of the 150th anniversary of the Great Trek is located at the entrance to town.

Louw House is Sutherlands only museum and the house dates back to 1861.

Louw House Museum has a selection of farm implements, clothing and furniture donated by Sutherlands residents and farming community.

Tours of the museum are available.
