About De Waal Park
Nestled in the heart of the City Bowl in Cape Town is the very tranquil De Waal Park which is tucked away, providing a peaceful paradise amongst the hustle and bustle of city life. The lush green grass and large number of trees make this a fantastic spot in summer.
Families take their picnic baskets and enjoy a day out in a lovely location. Joggers get together to stretch their legs through the park while kids get their exercise having a blast playing on the swings, jungle gyms and roundabouts.
Dogs are welcome here and are often seen playing with their owners on the grass. The Victorian Fountain and surrounding pond is a key feature in the park and enjoyed by all who pass by. There is no entry fee to the park although donations to �Friends of De Waal Park� are welcome.
