Foxcroft Restaurant in Constantia, Cape Town (original) (raw)

Utter sophistication in its most glamorously simple form is what Foxcroft Restaurant is all about. Muted tones of charcoal and white are complemented by raw wood, eclectic tiles, and chic linens to create a space in which innovative dishes and the freshest ingredients can be savoured in style.

The lunch menu is a wonderful assortment of delicious dishes that are nothing short of inspired. The menu includes tuna tartare with tempura avocado, tapas, fresh breads with cold meats and preserves, squid with chorizo and wild garlic, champagne-poached oysters, tempura prawns, and a delectable yellowtail ceviche.

The main courses are made up of beef ribeye with duckfat chips and vegetables, slow-cooked leg of lamb with white bean hummus and smoked garlic, confit pork belly, cauliflower and camembert risotto, pan-seared line fish, and a 7-day dry-aged duck breast with turnips and fermented plum.

The desserts are equally scrumptious, and those with a sweet tooth can choose between the rose and coconut panna cotta, passion fruit sorbet, elderflower doughnuts, or compressed strawberries on a toasted croissant with mascarpone cheese. There is also an assortment of cheeses from which to choose.

The cocktail and wine list is equally exciting to explore. Local and international favourites appear in its pages to create a refreshing, rich collection of red wine, white wine, sparkling wine and ros wine, as well as spirits, beers, and mixers.

Foxcroft works closely with local farmers as well as some of the worlds finest suppliers to ensure that every facet of your meal is of the highest (and tastiest) quality.
