About Pringle Bay Beach
Pringle Bay�s stunningly beautiful main swimming beach is approximately 2 kilometers long. The beautiful white sandy beach is surrounded by sand dunes on the one side and the ocean on the other. It is set against a backdrop of mountains covered by the unique and beautiful fynbos of the area.
The water temperature in the sea is usually cool but in the river mouth of Buffel�s River the water keeps a much more pleasant temperature. The shallow water here is the ideal place for younger and older children to play and splash. Surfers and body-borders come to the bay when conditions suit. Snorkeling is possible around the many rock pools and crevices at the far sides of the beach, as is fishing.
Relax and recharge to the sound of the sea, whilest strolling along the beautiful beach in the soft sand. Build sandcastles with your children and decorate them with collected shells. Let your kids run, splash, swim and paddle themselves to a good nights sleep ...
With the beach�s North West location the sun sets over the sea and offers spectacular sunset scenes. Towards the north one can a clear day see the Cape Peninsular on the far side of False Bay. The quiet village of Pringle Bay and its stunning beach is situated within the Kogelberg Biosphere less than one hours drive from Cape Town International Airport.
