20 on Somerset is a guesthouse in Swellendam. The rooms are individually decorated and have an en-suite bathroom. In addition, each room contains a Smart TV, free Wi-Fi access, USB charging points, and a bar fridge stocked with two soft drinks and water; some rooms offer a deck with mountain or sunset views.

Dining

Breakfast is included in the rates. Our venue, the Sundowner Deck, is unique in the sense that it offers guests views of our town and the picturesque mountains in the late afternoon; a unique way to enjoy Swellendam's sunsets with a glass of wine and dinner. Meals are presented in the form of a platter-for-two. Choices are between a meaty platter or cold meats and cheese platter. A vegetarian platter is also available on request. 20 on Somerset offers scrumptious dinners which may be enjoyed on the Sundowner Deck or at the cosy fireplace in the house. We have a bushveld boma BBQ/braai area, offering the perfect opportunity to enjoy sundowners with the most beautiful sunsets in Africa.

20 On Somerset is located in the historical town of Swellendam. It features over 50 national monuments and is the largest youngberry-growing region in the world. Enjoy berry picking, liqueur tastings, and a variety of historical outings. Nature lovers will enjoy the plentiful nature reserves around Swellendam, including the Marloth Nature Reserve, Sambona Wildlife Reserve, Grootvadersbosch Nature Reserve, and Bontebok National Park. Wildlife in Swellendam includes the endangered Bontebok and Cape Mountain Zebra as well as bushbuck, klipspringer, baboon, mongoose, and the occasional Leopard. Birding enthusiasts will marvel at over 200 species of birds, including waterfowl, eagles, Narina Trogon, Paradise Flycatcher, and the Knysna Woodpecker.
