Antares Bush Camp is located in the Grietjie Nature Reserve near Phalaborwa where animals roam as they please. From here there is much to see and do and this is certainly a wonderful spot for those wanting a great experience.

Self Catering Accommodation

Antares is a self-catering accommodation facility that can accommodate a maximum of 8 guests in 5 en-suite bedrooms. 3 bedrooms have twin beds and the other 2 bedrooms are combined into a family unit, a queen bed in one room and in a separate room a bunk bed. There is also a private courtyard attached to the room. The family room has a shared bathroom. Each bathroom has both an indoor and an outside shower.

Connected to the bedrooms via wooden deck is the main living area and kitchen, ensuring that all the main areas in the camp are on one level. Inside the main building a large, fully equipped kitchen allows guests to prepare their favourite meals. The kitchen is connected through to the rest of the building creating the impression that it is separated off but at the same time you are still part of the rest of your group. The large dining area, with a stone-clad fireplace and leadwood trees give a great ambience to an evening setting. Inside the lounge area, beautifully crafted pallet furniture and a curiosity table with various artefacts from the surrounding bush add character to a room dominated by an antique grandfather clock, open rafters and beautiful lights.

Off the lounge are two decks with a view over the waterhole. One is set up for an extra dining area and with steps leading down to the open boma area lends itself to preparing your meals on an open braai. The other deck looks over the small swimming pool and across the reserve to Grietjie Berg which is the most prominent geological feature on the reserve.
