Balule Bushveld Safari Lodge is a highly recommended property for self catering in Phalaborwa for up to 12 guests visiting the Valley of the Olifants region.

Balule Bushveld Safari Lodge is nestled in a private nature reserve which forms part of the larger Kruger National Park, near Phalaborwa. Please note that there is no fencing between the reserve and the Kruger National Park. The area is a hub of wildlife tourism and an ideal base to explore the Kruger and the myriad of natural, historical, and cultural attractions nearby.

Self Catering Accommodation

Balule Bushveld Safari Lodge has six separate thatched-roofed units, each sleeping two guests, that are ideal for a family or group of friends seeking a bushveld retreat. There are two units furnished with a King-size bed and four units which are furnished with two single beds. Each unit has an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower, toilet and basins.

Additional comforts such as air-conditioning, ceiling fans, fridges and built-in cupboards are available in all the units. Four of the units can be converted into two family units, each consisting of two bedrooms with interleading doors, and is available by prior arrangement.

The free-standing living area, which includes the kitchen, is located separately from the cottages. The spacious kitchen is fully equipped to cater to guests' needs and includes two fridges, a chest freezer, two gas stoves, double ovens, a toaster, kettle and dishwasher while the living area features a TV with DStv, a braai area and two dining tables.

The lounge opens onto a lovely deck which has a boma and overlooks the reserve.

Activities

Guests can cool down in the splash pool or enjoy activities such as game drives, game viewing, bird watching on the farm while day trips to Kruger National Park can also be experienced.

A free game drive with a qualified field guide is included with each day booked. Self-drive game drives are not permitted, although, there are two waterholes where all animals come to drink through the day and night and can be safely viewed from the deck.
